The Downtown Lakeville Business Association special service district is a non-profit organization that began in 1995. It is supported by a special service district tax, with the goal of preserving and redeveloping historic downtown Lakeville.

Mission Statement: To create a unique "downtown" business environment which blends the cultural historical, and economic opportunities of a rapidly growing community situated in a major metropolitan area.

If you are interested in opening a business in the downtown Lakeville Area, please contact Judy Tschumper, email dlba@frontiernet.net, or call 952-985-0517. Retail space is available for lease, and the city of Lakeville approved design guidelines for the redevelopment of existing properties and the construction of new buildings within the downtown area.

The DLBA sponsors various community activities throughout the year. Some of these activities have included free summer concert series, St. Paul Farmer's Market, Harvest Festival, Holiday on Main, Pan-O-Prog Cruise Night and other fun community activities. We work closely with other non-profit organizations to bring activities to Downtown and promote fun family entertainment. Those groups have included the ECFE Parent Advisory Board, Lakeville Area Chamber of Commerce, ISD 194, Lakeville Lions, Lakeville Rotary, Pan-O-Prog Committee, Senior Center, Lakeville Teen Corp. , Community Action Council, Lakeville Cares, Lakeville High School Band Boosters, Lakeville Historical Society, Leadership Lakeville, and the Ironman Bike Ride Committee.

Your thoughts and ideas of how we can make Downtown a better place are always welcome.

Sincerely,
Downtown Lakeville Business Association Board
