New Mural at Mainstreet After Hours

A committee of community volunteers spent the spring and summer of 2009 working on the creation of a mural to depict the early 1920's Antler's Park. The wall adjacent to Mainstreet After Hours patio was the designated site. The committee spent time at the Historical Society deciding on the contents of the mural. Artists from the Friends of the Arts and Lakeville South high school students designed the mural with many volunteers assisting with the painting. Metro Equity Management, owner of the building, donated the labor and other materials to prepare the wall for painting and donated the paint, equipment and supplies.

The project was coordinated by the Downtown Lakeville Business Association and Metro Equity with the help of the following partners - Lakeville Area Arts Center, Friends of the Arts, Lakeville South High School Art Department, Lakeville Historical Society, City of Lakeville, Mainstreet After Hours - and many volunteers who donated their time and talent.
