Enggren's Market
Enggren's Market has been serving Lakeville residents since 1906. The current store was constructed in 1977, and has been remodeled 3 times, most recently in 1999.
|
The original linoleum was replaced with tile and hardwood flooring. They also replaced the wallpaper, ceiling, and lighting, added oak trim, a skylight, new signage, and country accents. The old produce section is shown at right.

|
In the remodeled store, the wall mural in the plant and flower section (shown at left) was taken from an original watercolor by local artist David Reibe. The oak trim can be seen in the background.

The photos above show the same aisle, before and after, with the new tile, lighting, and signage.

The deli area is pictured above, before and after. The skylight adds natural lighting and a salad bar was added in the wide aisle space. You can also see the wood accents around the tile on the floor.

The same area, after. New light fixtures add warmth and visual interest.
